About Me

"Some are very comfortable in front of the lens, I prefer behind."

Ed Hineline

I'm a native South Floridian, born and raised in the City of Hollywood, now residing in City of Pembroke Pines. After earning a bachelor's degree in computer science, I started my career as a technology professional for the local school district. However, I always had a love for photography, and my father's film processing and printing lab provided me with the perfect opportunity to learn and grow.

…"Every image whispers a tale, and I delight in giving those whispers a voice.”

-Ed Hineline

Over the years, photography became my passion, my escape from the stresses of life. Late in my career, I began to feel a loss of purpose in my job., That's when I realized that photography was providing me with an outlet to relax, have fun, and see the world from a different perspective.

Photography has freed the creative side of my personality. There's nothing that gives me greater satisfaction than capturing an image and seeing someone's reaction. I believe every image whispers a tale, and I delight in giving those whispers a voice.

I enjoy walking, observing, and making images of things that grab my attention, but may be invisible to others. My hope is that an image will trigger a special memory, provoke thought, or produce a smile and warm feelings of happiness.

I haven't been able to pinpoint a favorite genre in photography yet. I've explored various fields, including weddings, special events, architecture, street scenes, family lifestyle, nature, and panoramic landscapes. Ultimately, my favorite aspect is simply the art of photography itself and seeing others enjoy.

"I’m basically a shy person that uses my camera to socialize."

-Ed Hineline

My photography is dedicated to my father, Ed Hineline Sr., who taught me to capture and share the beauty of the world through the lens of my camera.

I'm a father, husband, grandfather, nature lover, practical joker, fun-loving, shy, good neighbor, and dreamer - just like everyone else. But my passion for capturing moments that can be cherished and shared forever sets me apart.

My photography is expressed by my motto; "Moments in time are lived once. Images of those moments live forever."

"My goal is not to capture a one-of-a-million image. But to create the one-in-a-million that evokes a response and has a story."
